When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series because it’s funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the series. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which make the tv show, The Simpsons, very unique. She’s the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is particularly interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be found throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way. In the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the series with kids and adults alike. A lot of individuals have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons have had many special guest celebrities over the years including celebrities who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
