When are Homer Simpson and his group of buddies going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series as it is funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is continually getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that produce the television series, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the woman Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.

Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be found throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the work to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to refuse Marge in every way.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the series with kids and adults alike. Many people have mentioned how great it is to see The Simpsons since they permit you to feel what it’s like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest stars over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
