When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, people have been watching this series because it is funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that make the television show, The Simpsons, very special. She is the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life because she is the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to refuse Marge in every way.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she had been seeing Bart all of this time. This caused Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and adults alike. Many people have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons since they permit you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons have had several special guest celebrities over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
