When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have been watching this series as it is funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that produce the television show, The Simpsons, very special. She is the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.

Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.

It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she always ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to refuse Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole in the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He has become one of the most popular characters on the series with children and grownups alike. A lot of individuals have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a kid again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons have had several special guest stars over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
