When are Homer Simpson and his group of buddies going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series as it’s funny, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just does not want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that make the tv series, The Simpsons, very unique. She’s the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life because she’s the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be found throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge in every way.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole in the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
The most popular supporting character in the television shows The Simpsons is none other than Homer Simpson himself.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how great it is to see The Simpsons because they permit you to feel what it’s like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest celebrities over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
