When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series as it is funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.

 

The funny thing is, he is not exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just does not want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.

 

Selma is another of the characters which make the tv series, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the woman Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.

 

The third main character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She is the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.

 

The relationships that are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to get this done.

 

The most obvious relationship that features in the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge whatsoever. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.

 

Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

 

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how great it is to watch The Simpsons since they permit you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had many special guest stars over the years including celebrities that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
