When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series because it’s amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.

He’s the Homer Simpson that people love to hate. The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is continually getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.

Selma is just another of the characters which make the television show, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the girl Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.

The third main part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life since she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.

The relationships which are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the job to get this done.

The most obvious relationship that features from the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge in every way. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.

Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole in the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

The most popular supporting character in the television shows The Simpsons is none other than Homer Simpson himself.

He has become one of the most popular characters on the series with kids and grownups alike.
