When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series because it’s amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the series. He’s the Homer Simpson that people love to hate. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which produce the television show, The Simpsons, very special. She’s the girl Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge whatsoever. In the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole in the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
The most popular supporting character in the television shows The Simpsons is none other than Homer Simpson himself.
He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest stars over the years including actors that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
