When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series because it’s amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the show. The funny thing is, he is not exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just does not want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that produce the tv show, The Simpsons, very special. She’s the girl Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the job to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge whatsoever. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This induced Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
The most popular supporting character in the television shows The Simpsons is none other than Homer Simpson himself.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and grownups alike. A lot of individuals have mentioned how great it is to watch The Simpsons because they permit you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories.
