When are Homer Simpson and his group of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series because it’s amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the series. The funny thing is, he is not exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which produce the tv show, The Simpsons, very special. She’s the girl Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She’s the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she had been seeing Bart all of this time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
The most popular supporting character in the television shows The Simpsons is none other than Homer Simpson himself.
He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and adults alike. Many people have mentioned how great it is to watch The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it is like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest celebrities over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
