When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series as it is amusing, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.

The funny thing is, he is not exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is continually getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.

Selma is just another of the characters which produce the television show, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the girl Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.

The third main character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.

The relationships which are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she always ends up having to put in the job to do this.

The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to refuse Marge in every way. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.

Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the series with children and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons because they permit you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons have had many special guest stars over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
