When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series as it’s amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the show. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life because she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the job to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and grownups alike. A lot of individuals have mentioned how great it is to see The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest celebrities over the years including celebrities who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
