When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series as it is funny, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a lot of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is constantly getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which make the tv series, The Simpsons, very unique. She’s the girl Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life because she is the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to refuse Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and grownups alike. A lot of people have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons since they permit you to feel what it’s like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had many special guest celebrities over the years including celebrities that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
