When are Homer Simpson and his group of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series because it’s funny, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the series. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that produce the tv series, The Simpsons, very special. She is the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life because she’s the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local woman who saw Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and adults alike. A lot of people have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons since they permit you to feel what it is like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons have had many special guest stars over the years including celebrities who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
