When are Homer Simpson and his group of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to even imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series because it’s funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the show. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that produce the tv show, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She is the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life because she is the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. It can be found throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to refuse Marge whatsoever. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the series with children and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons because they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest stars over the years including actors that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
