When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series because it’s funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is constantly getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.

Finally, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.

Homer’s relationship with Selma is particularly interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest stars over the years including celebrities that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
