When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series as it is amusing, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.

Selma is an important part of Homer’s life because she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is particularly interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be found throughout the show that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she always ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge whatsoever. In the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This caused Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the series with kids and adults alike. Many individuals have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons since they permit you to feel what it’s like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories.
