When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series as it is funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great actors among its core cast.
The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which make the television show, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She’s the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life because she’s the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is particularly interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she always ends up having to put in the work to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way. In the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
