When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have been watching this series because it’s funny, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
He is the Homer Simpson that people love to hate. The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which make the tv show, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the woman Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize Selma should step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge in every way.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This induced Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local woman who saw Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the series with children and adults alike. A lot of people have mentioned how great it is to watch The Simpsons since they permit you to feel what it’s like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons have had many special guest celebrities over the years including celebrities who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
