When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series as it is amusing, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the show. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that produce the tv series, The Simpsons, very unique. She’s the girl Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She is the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life because she’s the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize Selma should step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge whatsoever. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole in the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and adults alike. A lot of individuals have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it is like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest celebrities over the years including actors that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
