This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole in the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who saw Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
