When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series as it’s amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great celebrities among its core cast.
The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters that produce the television show, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the girl Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She’s the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. It can be found throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge in every way. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and grownups alike. A lot of people have mentioned how great it is to watch The Simpsons because they permit you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had many special guest stars over the years including actors that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
