When are Homer Simpson and his group of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have been watching this series as it’s funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great actors among its core cast.

 

He’s the Homer Simpson that people love to hate. The funny thing is, he is not exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life because she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the job to do this.

 

The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge whatsoever. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.

 

Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
