When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have been watching this series because it is amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the series. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just does not want to listen. Finally, Homer comes to realize Selma should step in and become a better friend to Homer.

It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the job to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole in the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and grownups alike. A lot of individuals have mentioned how great it is to see The Simpsons because they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons have had several special guest stars over the years including celebrities who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
