When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series as it is funny, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the show. The funny thing is, he is not exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which make the television series, The Simpsons, very special. She is the woman Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She is the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she’s the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be found throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way. In the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole in the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
The most popular supporting character in the television shows The Simpsons is none other than Homer Simpson himself.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and grownups alike.
