When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series as it’s funny, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the show. He’s the Homer Simpson that people love to hate. The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is continually getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that produce the television series, The Simpsons, very unique. She’s the girl Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television show The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be found throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
The most popular supporting character in the television shows The Simpsons is none other than Homer Simpson himself.
He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a kid again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had many special guest stars over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
