When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to even imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series as it’s amusing, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.

It can be found throughout the series that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she always ends up having to put in the work to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole in the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local woman who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He has become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and adults alike. Many individuals have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons because they permit you to feel what it is like to be a kid again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest stars over the years including celebrities who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
