There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, most people have always been watching this series as it’s amusing, entertaining and most of all, The Simpsons has a bunch of great celebrities among its core cast.

Homer is the main protagonist of the show. He’s the Homer Simpson that people love to hate. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.

Selma is just another of the characters that produce the tv show, The Simpsons, very unique. She’s the woman Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.

The third principal part of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is an important part of Homer’s life since she is the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.

The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the work to do this.

The most obvious relationship that features from the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way. In the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.

Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the series with kids and adults alike. Many people have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories.
