When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among those longest-running primetime shows in America. There are a number of reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series as it’s amusing, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
He is the Homer Simpson that people love to hate. Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply does not want to listen. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life because she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.

Homer’s relationship with Selma is particularly interesting because they both love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the series that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to refuse Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she was seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the car of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with children and grownups alike. Many people have mentioned how great it is to see The Simpsons because they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had many special guest celebrities over the years including actors that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
