When are Homer Simpson and his gang of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to imagine this popular humor can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, people have always been watching this series as it is funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is continually getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really want to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.

Selma is an important part of Homer’s life because she’s the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize Selma should step in and be a better friend to Homer.

Homer’s relationship with Selma is especially interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the job to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and starts to deny Marge in every way. In the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the series with children and adults alike. Many individuals have mentioned how good it is to see The Simpsons because they allow you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons have had many special guest stars over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
