Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma should step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. The most obvious relationship that features from the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge in every way. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with some of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a kid and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for help and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of this time. This induced Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty.
