When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s hard to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, people have been watching this series as it’s amusing, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a bunch of great actors among its core cast.
The funny thing is, he isn’t exactly what anyone would describe as being the wisest of individuals. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his friends, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which make the tv series, The Simpsons, very unique. She’s the woman Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life since she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships that are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. Homer’s relationship with Selma is particularly interesting because they love each other but Homer does not admit to her that he loves her. It can be seen throughout the show that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features from the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to refuse Marge in every way. At the seventh season episode, Bart Simpson ends up going on a mission with a number of his friends and ends up burning his friend, Marge, to death.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she was seeing Bart all of this time. This caused Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole in the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell out of a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He has become one of the most popular characters on the series with kids and adults alike. Many individuals have mentioned how great it is to watch The Simpsons because they allow you to feel what it’s like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories. The Simpsons also have had several special guest stars over the years including celebrities that have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
