When are Homer Simpson and his gang of buddies going from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to even imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become among the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for over 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series as it’s funny, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great celebrities among its core cast.
Homer is the main protagonist of the series. Homer is constantly getting into trouble and that he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer simply doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behaviour but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is another of the characters that make the tv series, The Simpsons, very unique. She is the girl Homer admires and she’s also the wife of Homer. Together they have three children called Lisa, Bart, and Marge. Selma also appears to be Homer’s best friend.
The third main character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life because she is the reason he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Eventually, Homer comes to realize Selma needs to step in and become a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering the Simpson family has such dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics. It can be found throughout the show that Homer is constantly trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the household she always ends up having to put in the job to do this.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV show The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer starts off working with Marge on a case and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge whatsoever.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she has been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to look for her in the state of Alaska where Marge said that she had been seeing Bart all of this time. This induced Homer to get depressed and he proceeded to punch a hole in the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. In the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but thanks to the efforts of a local girl who saw Homer in the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.

He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and adults alike. A lot of individuals have mentioned how good it is to watch The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the classic childhood memories.
