When are Homer Simpson and his group of friends going away from Springfield and your favorite primetime network series, The Simpsons? It’s tough to imagine this popular comedy can be canceled anytime soon. The Simpsons have become one of the longest-running primetime shows in America. There are many reasons why the long-running sitcom has lasted for more than 20 years. For starters, most people have been watching this series as it is amusing, entertaining and most importantly, The Simpsons has a lot of great actors among its core cast.
Homer is constantly getting into trouble and he just does not know how to make things right again. One of his buddies, Selma, tries to help him out but Homer just doesn’t want to listen. He doesn’t really need to apologize for his behavior but Selma just wants to get things back to normal and work things out.
Selma is just another of the characters which produce the television show, The Simpsons, very special. She’s the girl Homer admires and she is also the wife of Homer. Selma also happens to be Homer’s best friend.
The third principal character of The Simpsons is Homer’s officemate, Selma. She’s the wife of Homer and the mother of his three children, Bart, Lisa, and Marge. Selma is a valuable part of Homer’s life since she is the reason that he decided to quit his job in the first place, after having a fight with a co-worker over something she did. Finally, Homer comes to realize that Selma needs to step in and be a better friend to Homer.
The relationships which are featured in the television series The Simpsons are especially well done considering that the Simpson family has such dysfunctional societal dynamics. It can be found throughout the show that Homer is continually trying to win over his own female family members but with Selma being the mother figure in the family she ends up having to put in the work to get this done.
The most obvious relationship that features in the TV series The Simpsons is that between Homer and Marge. Homer begins working with Marge on a situation and the two become fast friends. However, in an episode entitled Treehouse of horror’s Homer becomes bitter and begins to deny Marge in every way.
Marge was Homer’s best friend when he was a child and she’s been by his side ever since. In the first season episode, Bart Simpson went on a treasure quest with Marge but when they got lost Marge asked Homer for assistance and he went to search for her in the state of Alaska where Marge stated that she had been seeing Bart all of the time. This caused Homer to get sad and he proceeded to punch a hole at the automobile of Marge’s best friend, Mrs. Patty. At the seventh season episode Homer fell from a tree and suffered severe spinal injuries but due to the efforts of a local girl who watched Homer at the hospital, Homer was able to walk again.
He’s become one of the most popular characters on the show with kids and grownups alike. Many individuals have mentioned how great it is to see The Simpsons since they allow you to feel what it is like to be a child again and relive some of the traditional childhood memories. The Simpsons have had many special guest celebrities over the years including actors who have appeared on the screen before like Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Steve Martin.
